M.S. in Childhood/Special Education
Dual certification as a teacher is just 21 months away when you choose to enroll full-time in the master’s degree program in childhood education/special education at Fisher.
The program is inclusive in two regards. First, the curriculum is designed to provide you with dual initial certification in childhood and special education for grades 1-6. Second, the master’s level program is available to graduates from any bachelor's level major. No matter what undergraduate degree you hold, you are encouraged to apply to the master’s in childhood education/special education program.
体育投注软件Upon successful completion of this program, you will earn a Master of Science in Special Education degree and be qualified for initial certification in childhood education, as well as certification to teach students with disabilities in grades 1-6.

体育投注软件The curriculum is divided into five semesters worth of full-time study. You will take classes focusing on the nature of inclusive education and teaching courses specific to your area of focus. Included in the 42-credit-hour program are 150 hours of field experience and 14 weeks of student teaching.
体育投注软件Classes meet one evening per week and every other Friday evening/Saturday. Convenient scheduling enables you to work in full-time positions while enrolled in program.
The curriculum for this program is certified by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
